About the city 🌇

Berlin is a fascinating city that provides the perfect setting for study abroad. Like many places in the world, Berlin has a familiar past. What Berlin is most often associated with is the city's role in the two world wars, the Berlin Wall or the city's history of battles, occupation zones and revolution. However, Berlin also has a different history, which includes the German Expressionist movement, a devotion to architecture (Gothic, Art Nouveau and modernism) and the roaring twenties.

Over the years, Berlin residents have helped the city's spirit of creativity, experimentation and celebration flourish and shape Berlin's collective personality. Singly special to Berlin is that the city is festive, historic and modern as well as traditional and innovative at the same time. Berlin is artistic and forward-looking, charming and provocative.

Berlin seems to celebrate these many dimensions and presents an incredibly dynamic and refreshing environment for both locals and visitors. Berlin is called home by countless young people who flock to the city, who just exude freedom, creativity and something truly unique few metropolises can boast of.

By studying in Berlin you have ample opportunity to explore the unique character of the city. Historical monuments celebrate the city's past that can satisfy any cultural cult. Numerous fairs and festivals celebrate Berlin's many traditions, and the city's public squares, parks and extensive bicycle, pedestrian and public transport networks invite people to socialize with each other, relax and explore.

When you cross Berlin, you can stop in the beer gardens, dine at trendy restaurants or sit in cafes, to enjoy Berlin's culture and social atmosphere. You can also enjoy Berlin's nightlife, art scene and network of museums.

Best of all, you may be able to do all this while shoveling ECTS points, developing your German-language skills, and improving your cv with an international experience.
