Gianicolo Residence is JCU's studio located in Trastevere, just a 5-minute walk from the Guarini Campus and a 10-minute walk from the campus. The building houses 70 apartments which about 255 students call home. The homes vary in size and can accommodate between two and nine students. There are studio apartments, which include an equipped kitchen, 1-2 bathrooms and a common area. During the autumn semester, Gianicolo Residence is a completely non-alcoholic residence and usually houses new students.

Viale Trastevere Apartments is home to about 150 students who live in studio apartments with the opportunity to go to the JCU campus within approx. 20-25 minutes or 15 minutes by public transport. Students most often choose Viale Trastevere Apartments to integrate into a building with local Italian neighbors, to live in a classic Italian residential area in the center of Rome. The apartments vary in size and can accommodate between four and nine students. Larger apartments are divided into two triple bedrooms, a double room and a single room with two full bathrooms, an equipped kitchen (including washing machine) and a living room with living and dining area. The common areas are bright and have balconies to enjoy the mild Roman climate. The furniture and facilities are standard across all JCU homes.

Lungara Apartments are conveniently located close to the university campus which provides a perfect combination of independence and comfort. Close to the university and the JCU community, Lungara Apartments have the advantage of integrating students into a building complex with local Italian neighbors.The apartments vary in size and can accommodate between three and nine students. Each accommodation is furnished and has a fully equipped kitchen, common area, washing machine and 1 or 2 bathrooms depending on apartment size. There is regular cleaning service as well as WiFi and heating. At night, the complex is accessible via a code-protected gate, and there is always a guard to ensure security.

Independent apartments are traditional Roman-style apartments. JCU Housing relies heavily on choosing apartments that have similar facilities, proper standards and are located in the Trastevere district near the largest campus area. The independent apartments are shared with three to nine students, often grouped together in the same buildings or area in the neighborhood. The units are all accessible within 20 minutes by public transport and are no further than a 40 minute walk to John Cabot University. Living in the independent apartments allows students to experience a traditional neighborhood with the comfort of convenient access to campus.
